Room 8 went to the yacht club to view the site of the Panmure Bridge.
The first Panmure Bridge was a swing bridge.
The swing bridge is not there because it was old so it got demolished.
It was unsafe for cars and people because it could break.
In the olden days, a man called Hemi he would like to sell produce to Australia to get some money.
Two weeks ago a concrete bridge collapsed on a 8 lane highway in America and crushed passing cars. One year ago a woman went to cross the 8 lane highway. She was going to the other side to university and she got hit by a car and died. So that is why they made the bridge. Two weeks ago when the bridge collapsed the emergency people came. The people under the bridge got really injured. The helicopter was too loud the emergency people couldn't hear the people saying "Help, Help". Some of the people were crushed to death,injured and some people survived.
i did not know that a swing bridge was the first bridge.
