  1. Hi Lydia,

Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey reading your blog from my home in wintry Canada. I'm not thinking about protecting myself from the sun today, I have to say. The temperature outside is -30 C and there are 4 feet of snow around my house. Brrrr....

You've made a good list of things to do to try to prevent getting too much sun in the summer - good for you! I understand that you've had a bit of a hot time so it's especially important to know how to avoid sunburn and heat exhaustion. Good for you!

Have you spent much time at a beach or out playing this summer? I hope you've had a chance to be outside having fun! But I also hope you haven't found it too uncomfortably hot!

I'm really glad that you've chosen to be part of the SLJ program this summer - good for you! And now you're back at school, starting your next term. I hope you have lots of friends in your class!!

I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
